How Does It Feel To Be a Black Single Problem?

It's open season on black womanhood. Nightline became the latest media outlet to tackle the issue of why black women aren't married. The problem is not the topic, but the approach. Like a recent series of articles, books, and television segments (and one Nightline did last year), the show's focus was on the purportedly low value of black women in the dating marketplace and the wisdom of black women's choice to stay single versus marrying men who don't fit their criteria.

Let's get real for a minute here. Yes, black women are sometimes taken for granted by black men, and men of other races. (I'm thinking here of musician John Mayer saying he had a "David Duke c**k," because it only responded to white women. Black womens' response, for the most part: awesome dude...!

  1. I think this picture looks sad- ---the woman looks like she just dropped the kid off at daycare and is running late for work (sigh) it would be great if black women with small children were married by a high quality man who would allow her to stay home and nurture her babies

  2. Ill also add:::yes, even liberals can be racist NIGHTLINE is mainstream media--Michelle Obama is the FIRST First Lady who is black. Even though I don't go much for Obamas policies, I like seeing us in a good spot BW

  3. "it would be great if black women with small children were married by a high quality man"--- THESE ARE CHOICES WOMEN WITH GOOD SENSE MAKE BEFORE laying down and getting knocked up KNOWING FULL WELL that you have no husbands.. So it would be "NICE" or logical, IF A WOMAN who wanted to be able to stay home and take care of her small children, found herself a HUSBAND before spreading eagle and allowing a sperm drop-pff.. Sometimes I wonder if black women WANT children without husbands.. I certainly don't. BUt from the behavior I see, I would think that they do.
Black women need to LOVE THEMSELVES enough FIRST, to nurture themselves and their own issues. Take time to get to know a man and be friends before ANY sexual relationship & don't participate in baby making activity if he isn't your HUSBAND. It's pretty logical, but I don't see too much logic among us these days and it gets really pathetic & disheartening.

The same group of men that are normally promoted on black women get a white man sites, are the same group of men that own, control and decide to allow the attack on black women, men & black family propaganda to air. They now own Essence magazine.. and it is beginning to get ugly too. They have TONS of happily married stories on their site, but the latest issue is dysfunctional relationship after happily together but murdered relationship after gold diggers on the loose after dysfunction. These things are NOT being produced by people who value black women or men.. It is high tech Willie Lynch through the most POWERFUL weapon of warfare in existence.. GLOBAL MEDIA! Goal= divide black men & women, sensationalize, falsify statistics and sit back and watch them waste all of their time blaming each other instead of coming together and BUILDING their families and communities. This game is about 350+ years old, but we don't recognize it, because we believe that our own history should be left in the past, because we are so intent on blinding ourselves and "moving on" in the name of "options" & success.

who would allow her to stay home and nurture her babies
